- Blanc oeuf

Both the Ultra 13 and Fresh Hop gins do well with the addition of freshly sliced lime, lemon or orange. They add a refreshing touch to the gin and tonic experience. For a more drier experience the addition of a peel works wonders as well.

Belgin gins are part of other Belgian spirits. These have been designed to mix perfectly with each other. See below some of our favorite cocktail combinations.

Combine the gin and vermouth in a shaker, fill it halfway with ice, and stir vigorously until well chilled, about 35 seconds. Strain into the chilled glass. Garnish with olives or a twist of lemon. (If using a twist, be sure to run the slice over the glass’s rim.)

You will also find the botanicals used on the backlabel of both our products which are perfect to add asbotanicals in a gin and tonic.

Adding a botanical in the glass from the master blend will accentuate that flavor and allow you to create your own personal favorite combination. We prefer to use botanicals from our fresh botanical garden.

4. Botanicals

Depending on your taste and experience with gins, the suggested ratios of gin-to-tonic are

1:1, 1:2, 1:3, and 2:3

We recommend to use mostly 1 part gin for 2 parts tonic, however certain lighter tonics work terrific for 1:1 ratio. In addition, a 1:1 ratio is also great with our St Cruyt to allow the 50 botanicals to shine through.

1:1 ratio Gin and Tonic for Belgin

  • 1 part Belgin Ultra 13

  • 1 part Fever Tree Mediterranean Tonic

  • Add fresh coriander leaves and black pepper grains in the glass

3. Gin-to-tonic Ratio

Belgin Fresh Hop is a delicate and smooth gin with a focus on the wonderful aroma of fresh Belgian hops with a subtle citrus flavor. Belgin Fresh Hop is perfectly accompanied by tonics that accent the hop and citrus aromas. Here are a few of our favorites:

  • Indi Tonic
  • Thomas Henry

  • Goldberg tonic

elgin Ultra 13 is very versatile classic dry gin and works well with a wide range of tonics and each tonic adds a different depth and flavor profile to your Gin & Tonic.

Here are a few of our favorite tonics that are a perfect match for Belgin.

  • Fever Tree Mediterranean
  • Fever Tree Indian
  • Syndrome Raw
  • Indi Tonic
  • Fentimans
  • Goldberg Tonic

2. Style of Tonics

We recommend using a balloon glass for artisanal gin and tonics because the aromas of the drink can gather at its opening for the drinker to more easily appreciate.
Our range of gins from Belgium are specially crafted to make wonderful cocktails. Both gins are fantastic in a classic Gin and Tonic and are very versatile for more artisanal Gin and Tonics.
In addition, the smooth character is perfect for a gin Martini. Belgin Ultra 13 is also very suited to be mixed with Belfleur Elderflower for an amazing Elderflower gin and tonic.
In order to make an artisanal Gin & Toni, four elements need to be mixed artfully: 1) characteristic of the gin 2) style of tonic 3) ratio Gin/Tonic and 4) botanicals to accentuate certain flavors.
